Acronyms Explained:

XHTML

HTML that is well formed (i.e., tags are closed properly and attributes comply with the DTD). All modern websites should be using XHTML to build web pages and not HTML! We only use XHTML to build your website

CSS

FancyBox

A content overlay technology that presents content over existing content. Similar to LightBox

Table-less layout

A technique used by professional website designers (such as ourselves) to layout content using HTML DIVs with FLOATs instead of HTML tables. This results in faster display of your content and dynamic layouts when browser is resized

Cross-Browser support/compatibility

Asynchronous JavaScript + XML. We use this technology to perform partial page updates in ASP.NET websites. This results in faster responses and less-flicker during page updates

SQLServer

A relational database system offered by Microsoft. SQL stands for Structured-Query-Language. The database stores data that the application retrieves and updates. This data is used in data-driven websites to personalize the user interaction. We use SQLServer 2005 as the database of choice for creating your data-driven applications

T-SQL

Transact SQL. SQL stands for Structured-Query-Language. A database-side data selection, update and flow-control programming language available in SQLServer database systems.

ADO.NET

Active Data Objects .NET. A set of .NET classes that provide data retrieval and manipulation, either standalone or with an external relational database such as SQLServer.

LINQ to Objects

A new .NET 3.0+ feature that lets the developers query data in a manner that is independent of the underlying data objects using 'SQL like' syntax. We use this technology to create flexible data driven websites for you
